The eternal dilemma!
Dilemma of all editors on the planet Earth – to put or not put the headline or any kind of type in the photo.
I’ve worked with editors who either love the headlines in the photo, or hate it.
I know designers who have different theories about it, but trust me, all this is just a myth.
I saw the headlines that have looked great in the photo, but also I witnessed the situation when it looked terrible.
Tip – do it clean and simple. If photography crying for a headline or any type – place it in photo. But don’t make it too crowded with words – less is better.
The prove that all of this is just a myth is a new trend in last two years, where the headlines on a photo is a must.
