True Lies

In every newspaper editors will talk to you about what you can or can not do. About the ways that news were done in the past and what is the proper way to do it.
But believe me, all these stories are pure myth.

Headlines should not stand side by side on the pages this is definitely the biggest myth in the newspaper.
None of the research through focus groups revealed that readers have problems with this fact.
The fact is that this phenomenon is important only to editors, newspaper owners and designers.

White on black

Some newspapers strictly prohibit this form, the fact is that the whole story in a negative or a strong background in the color will irritate your eyes. Also this “technique” could create a bad impression of blurred  letters, and that the letters are illegible. However, quotes, lead with a dark background are very effective, of course, if the type size is larger than the basic text and leading large enough.
